Transfer 7 Still In Heaven!
Bonjourà tous!
Well another weekly email coming to you from beautiful Brussels Belgium and will continue to come to you another 7 weeks:) So transfers are today and as predicted I will be staying in Brussels for another transfer. This will be my 3rd transfer here already! It is crazy how time flies by especially this past week has been one of those moments.
There were a lot of eventful moments this week. So lets start from the beginning. Tuesday we were able to see Meredith and her fiance. We had a feeling that we needed to talk about family history work and the temple so we told them we had a prompting that we needed to talk about those things with them. They were amazed and said "I believe you have been inspired because we have been feeling and thinking about our ancestors a lot this past week." This was a testimony builder that God really does inspire us as missionaries to know what to say to people. So we taught them about doing some family history and they will start when they get back from Spain. Also we will all be going to the temple in Paris with them when they get back! It will be so good for Meredith to go before her baptism:)
Sadly this week we had to tell Beatrice we wouldn't be able to come by anymore. It was a very sad moment because I love Beatrice a lot but sometimes we have to let the people we love the most go and figure out their lives. maybe in the future she will be ready:) However the same day we got to meet with Philip who is a man we meet when we were street contacting. It was a really good rendez-vous and the Dutch Elders from the other mission were with us. We had a good conversation and we passed Philip to the Elders or we are going to let the Elders teach Philip. And even better, The same day we decided to got institute and MADLYN WAS THERE! She is so awesome and so strong already.
We had a rendez-vous Thursday with a man named Japhet who is Sœur Safsten's first contact! It was a good rendez-vous hopefully we will see him again this week. Also this day we went out to eat at this really awesome Italian restaurant with our Relief Society President! IT WAS SO GOOD! I will go to Italy someday to see that amazing country and eat there awesome food. Also when were done eating one of the waiters was like "Would you like me to sing to you?" We were like, "Yes!" So he sang to us in Italian! It was cool:)
Friday we were able to see a couple less actives and one of them is a recent Convert. It is really cool to bring people back to their remembrance of the things that they know are true and to help build their testimonies. We hope to see both of them again soon. And we also got to see Elza! She is just doing great as ever! We are almost done with all the lessons! We taught her and her two brother who will be getting baptized with her on Saturday. Those boys are crazy. But hopefully they remember our lesson because I was making sure they were listening.
Now Sunday. Madlyn was at church and we will finally be seeing her this week! We are feeling that this week we can extend to her a baptismal date:) we hope it goes well. But the second hour of church we taught some little children in primary so they can prepare for baptism. We taught a tri-langauge lesson. Spanish, English, and French. Oh what a lesson that was. These children here know so much about the things we teach them! It blows my mind! Another testimony builder of how important it is to teach our children about Jesus grace à Church, family scripture study, family prayers, and family home evening so they can have a strong testimony in the future.
Well I think that will be all for this week! I am loving being a missionary. It has been one year since I opened my mission call and it has been 9 months for me on my mission. Isn't that crazy?! It has been hard at times but I have truly loved teaching people about Jesus Christ.
Bonne semaine!
Bisous!
