c'est la vie d'un missionnaire
Bonjour!
Things are going really well here in Belgium:) this week was kind of weird due to that fact that most of our rendez-vous didn't show up and this is with members and amis . So we did a lot of finding this week. We found a lot of cool people but also a few creepy people but that is normal. We were able to teach Elza a couple of times! She is just a doll! She is progressing really well and she will be ready for baptism in no time:) she learns everything so fast and she reads out of the book or Mormon! Oh she is great. We just need to help her get to church more. Meredith is Spain for vacation so we will not be seeing her for a couple of weeks but we know that she is doing good:) we got to see Madlyn again! Oh so glorious! We taught all of the Plan of Salvation with a member! She taught it was so beautiful and she wants to know more how we can have an eternal families and marriage so we will be teaching her that on Thursday. We will also be inviting her to be baptized again. She is truly awesome. She comes to church, she reads, and she is progressing as well. I just love her:)
We were able to see Serge this week! Ok we had a rendez-vous with him at 8:30pm and we met in a place called Flagey but when we got there, there was a literal carnival going on haha. So we kind of had to find a new place to have our lesson. He is awesome! (All these people are awesome it seems, but they truly are) :) we taught him about the priesthood. He understood everything except the story of Jospeh Smith. He wants to come to church and read! Oh so good:)♥️
We were able to do some service this week for Sœur Trigo, who is the grandmother of Elza. We thought we were sorting clothing but we actually were cleaning our her basement. So us in our skirts were cleaning this basement for two hours cleaning up trash. But it was fun and afterwards we taught Elza.
Ok so yesterday was Sunday! One of the recent converts was suppose to teach the lessons but she told us she couldn't. We thought she was talking about the next Sunday not this Sunday. So we told our DMP and he got a call later with him asking us to give the lesson that day! It went surprising well and everything went smoothly:)
I am truly loving where I am at. I love the people, I love my Savior, and I love being a missionary.
Have a good week everyone!
