Lost in Paris.🗼

Coucou!

My first week with my bleue was a HUGE SUCCESS! *Rant about my bleue for a sec* She is great! Her name is Sister Safsten. She is from Washington State! She has a big family! She is left handed, LIKE ME!! She is the best! ♡

Right before SÅ“ur Potter left, we had an awesome rendez-vous with our new amie named Madlyn! She showed her the chapel and taught her a little about the book of Mormon. We invited her to come to church and she came! It was so awesome to see her there! I also had a talk in sacrament meeting on missionary work. After church ended, she had a few questions but we gave her an answer and it will take some time to understand everything. We called her today, she said we could see her at the end of this week and she will come to church! YAY! She is honestly the best and I am so excited for the future:)

So on Wednesday, I had to travel to Paris so I could pick up my bleue and SÅ“ur Potter left to be with her new companion. Well after the whole meeting of getting everyone situated with trainers and villes. We had leave to catch the Thalys. Let me tell you, Paris is huge so I didn't know how to get back to the train. Lucky there was two elders going to Belgium as well so I was look we can just follow them but we lost them... So I called my Zone Leaders like 10 times asking directions because we didn't have that much time left to catch our train. I figured out the metro ok but I couldn't find the way out of the metro to get to the thalys so I picked a random escalator and we came out on the other side of the gare.... we only had less then ten minutes to get to our trains so we were running through the gare and we barely made our train! Oh blessings! My bleue probably was like, "what the heck?!" We made it out alive though:)

Later in the week we had the change to visit a new amie and she is going through a tough time right now but we are here to help her. We were not able to see Meredith this week because we didn't have a ton of time and she was sick. Since she is still sick this coming week, we plan on stopping by her house and saying hello. We found an american brownie mix in the apartment and we wanted to make it so we are going to make them for her:) let me tell you, we had a hard time trying to find the french equivalent to heavy.

Saturday there was an activity for the Spanish group at the church. We decided to go because we taught Meredith was going to be there but she wasn't. We stayed anyways and watched a church movie, Love, Kennedy, in English. I was so touched by the movie that I was holding back tears almost the whole time. I strongly recommend:)

Today was my bleue's first p-day in the mission! We needed to buy ourselves backpacks so we went to do that! We somehow ended up at Lush, Paul, and a chocolate shop.... we ended up with a lot of things in our hands at the end day. We had a super awesome lessons with a recent convert. She truly is an example of how the gospel changes lives for the better:)

We did a lot of work this week and we have gone to bed early everyday. We have see the blessings from it:) People have been wanting to listen to our messages, we have been able to meet with a couple new amis, and we will be meeting some new amis this week. I have noticed that the members are starting to trust us more and are wanting to have us over or have us teach people who are close to them. I can truly testify that doing your absolute best in missionary work or in life you will see the results, in one way or another. The results might not always be what you expect but they will come:)

I love you all!
Bisous!
