《Speakless》
Holà!
No I don't speak Spanish but I wish I did! I am learning phrases here and there but not enough to help me talk to someone. Last Sunday there is a member in the Spanish group and I just love her necklaces so I asked the Spanish Sœurs how to say "I like your necklace!" They told me about a thousand times and I was just about to tell the member but I forgot how to say it so I walked away ha ha.... how sad. The Spanish Sœurs were eating at the member's house and told the member about it! ha ha I am dying inside. But the member laughed and was like, "She doesn't have to be nervous!" Oh fun times.
Ok so this week so many interesting and amazing things happened! I will try and remember as many as I can! Tuesday i eat the most amazing enchiladas i have ever eaten in my life. The Christensen's made enchiladas for lunch after district meeting and guess what. I got the recipe! We also saw Beatrice on Tuesday as well. Again I cleaned and moved books around while Sœur Potter helped with paper. We saw Beatrice again on Saturday and this time I got to help with papers oh also the elders came to do yard work. There is so much I could tell you about Beatrice but if I did that my weekly would be all about her.... but one really funny moment that happened was when we were all sitting down for dinner she asked me if my first name was spelled with an e or a and I said a y. Me and I just stared at each other for 5 seconds and then we were like oh ok! We both started bursting out laughing!
We went to the Costa's family house for lunch on Wednesday to talk about a class we are doing for the children. We will be teaching a class for the children who will be turning 8 and we will be teaching them lessons to prepare them for baptism. Anyway let me tell you, i just loved there house! IT WAS GREAT! Also she introduced me to this amazing dressing for salads called Natura which is a honey vinaigrette that is made in Belgium so as soon as we went to Carrefour again, you know I bought some of that bad boy.
We had exchanges in Liege this week and I was with Sœur Durant! She is literally the coolest person ever! Also Liege is like a really chill place. And interesting fact the train station that we came into is a train station that was in the guardians of the galaxy movie! Wow so cool. While i was in Liege I had the opportunity to go to the red cross center or place there. I had the opportunity to teach a lesson to a women from Togo who got baptized Saturday! I also meet so many people from all around the world that have been through unimaginably things. They were also the most happiest of people. I could feel there happiness and I could see it when they smiled. It was truly a humbling experience and I will never forget it. Also I tried to have a conversation with a women from Iran who didn't speak French or English and some how it worked! :)
Sunday morning we went to have lunch with a past investigators. She was the sweetest and we also met her daughter. She is Muslim and I don't think her daughter is, they were the sweetest of people! I feel like I saw that a lot.... They gave us so much food and she made us lunch! She came to church we will as well. One of her alarms went off and it was an alarm for one of her five prayers. So she explained to me all about them. It was really interesting.:) She really likes our church services but she is really converted to her religion. I hope to stay in contact with her!:)
I think this will be all for now. Wish me luck this week since it will be super cold! I hope to have more awesome things to tell you next week!
I love you guys!
Bisous!
