Bonjour à tous!
Quoi de neuf??
Well this week was another busy week:) This week particularly have a learned how to be a better missionary by exchanges with Sœur Robertson to the hardships of mission but I have loved every minute of it.
Were should I begin... I think with last Monday since we had a rendez-vous with a member were she helped us with our french, we helped her kids with English, and we had a spiritual experience with our message we left with her. It was really cool to see that the video we decided to share was exactly what she needed since she is going through a hard time right now.
Tuesday we had a really cool experience with giving out A TON of venez et voyez invitations. The venez et voyez was an event we had at our church this last Sunday that was specially for visitors:) it was so cool! Then when we were walking to CP, Ward Council, we got water dumped on our heads:) I don't know if it was on purpose or not since it came out of a window from above us but it was a pretty funny, we laughed and took a photo:)
Oh yes, exchanges was this week on Wednesday! I was with Sœur Robertson! She taught me a lot about how to do member lessons, church tours/lessons with Jérôme (yes the guy from the park! We finally met with him), and how to talk to people! I went on my very first exchange with her and I was her last exchange since she will be going home in a week. I will miss her so much but she was an awesome missionary:) we gave a stuffed alien to a little girl on the bus and it was the most precious moment very.
We found out that Chrispelle and Nolahn were in the hospital because they both were really sick. So Saturday we decided to go see them and give them a little message to help them get through. Then later that day we had another experience when one of the members in our ward needed some medicine for his kids but couldn't get it so we said we would buy and bring it to him:) it was a really special experience for me that strength my understand and testimony of acts of service/charity. And something else fun happened this week. I was writing a really long text then I deleted it on accident so I screamed, "Nooonnn!" and at the same time I did that Sœur Inman was on the phone leaving a message for a member.... so that message included Sœur Pischer screaming and Sœur Inman laughing. Fun time:)
Sunday was the big day with the Venez et Voyez event! We stocked up our missionary table with all of our pamphlets and cards that morning. Oh yes, it snowed a lot so the walk to the church was fun! Tried not to get all of our papers wet. It was also a bummer that it snowed because not everyone that was going to come came:( but we did have some people there! It was really awesome to get to know them and we will be seeing some of them pretty soon:)
So This week for a spiritual thought, I would like to share with you my testimony of how by serving others can we bring the light of Christ into the world and in French.:) Je sais que les actes des services peuvent aider les autres dans leurs vies.
Something cool this morning! We got on the wrong bus this morning to get some shopping done but we decided to ask the bus driver if we could get off but don't think he understood. HOWEVER, we talked to him for awhile about life, church, and we got his name and number! I know we needed to get on the wrong bus this morning:)
Joyeuses Fêtes! Je vous aime!
