Salut tout le monde!
Well this week was something else. Where to begin. Well something not super exciting is on Tuesday we went to a funeral for a member of our that passed away. I didn't get to know him but I have meet his wife. She is the cutest old women ever, I will talk more about her later in this email. French Funerals have food after them and I mean food. Also they are really simple.
Wednesday was Zone Conference! Well we started off our day well by getting to the gare and seeing that our train was three hours late so we waited for awhile, went to get macaroons, and then got on the train at 10. Something to note, at 10 our conference was starting so we ended up being two hours late.😊 But I loved Zone Conference! All the missionaries that were in my zone were really funny and just a really cool bunch of people:) They made me brownies for my birthday since they are my FAVORITE! My first Interview with President but something cool was that he was impressed with how well I have been doing and he thinks my french is good! Yay! I don't know what I did to make Pres like me but for some reason he does. Oh next adventure! So when our interview got over we had maybe 15 minutes to make our train. So we ran:) and we missed our train by literally seconds. We had to stay the night in Lille and on the way back I contacted a girl! We got her number and we hope to meet up with her soon.
Thursday we had District Meeting so we had to go straight to Amiens looking gross. Oh and the elders in our district had to stay the night too so we all rode the same train to Amien. Something nice was they sang me happy birthday! They are great! Had district meeting then we got kabobs from a place called the Pyramid then went back to St. Quentin. We went to a rendez-vous but the person forgot about it so we decided to go to our apartment for studies and showers.
Friday! Auto-Evaluation which is were for sisters the sister training leaders skype us and we have a conversation about the transfer. It was good! I know what I want to improve for next transfer! Then we had Weekly Planning. That literally takes HOURS. This week we did this a bit differently. President Sorensen told Soeur Nickerson and I that he believe we can baptize monthly. So we decided that we were going to make that happen. We made a plan to work extremely hard to find those people who are ready for the gospel and bring them unto Christ. It will be hard but we can do it:) we have already seen some results! Let me tell you about them.
Saturday!🎉We decided to go to batting right at 10. We came across this young man who let us into his apartment and we taught his retab! It was so cool! We set up another rendez-vous with him but it fell through. We planting seeds in the hearts of men! Then we had a rendez-vous with the Quints! Oh how I love the Quints:) they are the best family and I think they are progressing really well to being fully active again! Roxy shared a touching story about her experiencing with knowing the church was true and it was a touching story. We showed them the Grâce à lui video and how we are never alone in this life but Jesus has done so much for us and he guides us in this life. We are never alone❤ then we did Finding, Service (we donated clothes), and the RÉPERTOIRE came out! I am staying in saint Quentin! Haha... duh. Répertoire tells all the missionaries if they are getting transfers or not. It is a big deal. Everyone gets nervous and excited for it.
Sunday was awesome! So we had two surprise ami show up to church! Like we never met either of them... so it was cool:) Yassa said he saw us at the buss stop and remembered getting taught by Soeurs 10 YEARS AGO! So we have a rendez-vous with him tomorrow:) our other new ami was a friend of a member and he came. He really like our service and would like to know more! We have his digits. Oh something else... a member prayed to have the Elders back in St. Quentin after Sacrament meeting. At first I didn't mind much of it but everyone kept talking about it and it sucks when the member prayed to have the elders back even though we are in St. Quentin.... but whatever. Then the amazing Poletz family fed us lunch, we helped them at their farm by sorting chicken eggs, and then they fed us dinner! I love the Poletz family so much and they treat the missionaries so well. We will never run out of eggs, adventures, or lose weight with them. They are the best!
Well I hope you all had a good week! Miss and love ya! Thank you all who wished me a happy birthday! I will let you know next week how it was!😊❤
