"Out With The Old And In With The Lord."-Me
Bonjour tout le monde!
This week was a fun one. I actually spent a lot of time out of St. Quentin this week. We went out in the middle of nowhere, where we walked for 20 minutes to get there but followed the Spirit to where he needs you to go! We had, of course district meeting on Wednesday then we had exchanges in Lille with the Sister Training Leaders most of Thursday and Friday! And we had a lot of train time because you know France and their public transportation.
Well lets begin with our awesome amazing exchange in Lille! First exchange, oh so good. I absolutely loved it! Lille reminds me of Boston Massachusetts which I have only seen in picture but it was amazing to get to see a place similar to the east coast. My exchange was with Soeur Robertson, who is the best person ever! I loved having her as my first exchange companion. We basically got to work right from the get go. Oh I just loved it! I learned a lot about how to talk to people and how to actually not be awkward talking to strangers. One of the cool experiences I had was were looking for this less-active member when we actually came across her boyfriend instead. Soeur Robertson felt like we need to share something with him so we did. She was like ok what are we going to share at first I was like "idk you pick." But waited for me to pick so Ii picked a scripture that keep coming unto my mind and I felt like it was something he needed. Soeur Robertson shared a video that went along with my scripture. I could see the happiness on his face when we where done and I knew we had followed the spirit.
We had a rendez-vous on Sunday with Chrispelle, who is our super awesome progressing investigator. We taught her about Following Prophets and i think she really liked what we had to say. She has been reading the book of Mormon, the bible, and the doctrine and covenants! She came to church too! She is literally great! We hope that in the future she will accept the invitation to be baptized when the Holy Ghost testifies of the truthfulness. We are hoping to get more progressing investigators as soon as vacation starts to wind down and people are in town.
Today was District P-day! We all decided to go to Arras and tour some of the awesome thing there. I love Arras, just like how I love the rest of France. We first went to caves underneath the city called the Boves. They were so cool! Then we went to the bell tower, le Beffroi, where we could see all of arras. Oh words can't describe the beauty that French villes contain so I will just show you a photo! The last thing we went to go see were the tunnels used by soldiers during the Two World Wars and specifically during the Battle of Arras, or I think that is what it was called, in 1917. It was really awesome to learn some history regarding France and to get to see something that was historic. Loved every minute of it!
Scripture for the week. "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,... Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)...For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:4-5, & 8. ☆ God loved us so much that he wanted a way for us to return to him so he sent Jesus Christ to suffer for the sins of the world which is the Atonement. We can be saved through the Atonement of Jesus Christ only if we exercise our Faith to accept His Atonement and act on His teachings.☆
Love you all! Have a good week.
