"Eat, Drink, And Be Merry!"
Bonjour encore!
Well another week full of missionary work has passed. It has been really amazing to be a missionary, let me tell you Why!
So first things first. Chrispelle, our really awesome progressing investigator, said yes to baptism! We extended the date of being baptized on Oct. 7th and she said she would think about it. She is a bit hesitant because she doesn't think she is really but we know she is. We will still work will her! Also we have Yannick which is a guy that Soeur Nickerson and her companion before me were teaching but had to stopped, a member yesterday at church said Yannick would like to continue receive lessons! Oh so exciting! He is moving to Paris so we will teach him till then and then have other missionaries teach him from there! Our other previous progressing investigators are back in school so it is going to be difficult to meet with them but I guess we will see what happens.
So one of the cool things that made me and Soeur Nickerson really happy the other day was we went batting(knocking) in an apartment building. We were on our third floor with little time left to do batting but when we decided to do another floor and on that floor someone was talking to us! She was so awesome and we were so excited to get her number! Literally I have never felt so happy in my entire life than in that moment. Hopefully she will become an investigators because she is amazing.
Oh the highlight of our week was missing two trains back to St. Quentin after Disitrct meeting on Saturday so we had to stay in Amiens for a couple of hours haha. We finished weekly planning at the gare,(the train station) We then just walked around for about thirty minutes just shopping and looking at Amiens. Then when we finally made it back to St. Quentin we went over to recent convert birthday party which was so fun! It was Aline's Birthday and we had so much fun with her and Pascal, her dad. They are the sweetest people and Pascal makes fun me all the time but I know he just kidding and I don't understand him half the time so it is perfect! :)
Now the reason for the title, We have been feed and eaten so many things this week! It has been crazy! All the food were is amazing... I say that every week but it is. My favorite things this week has been a strawberry eclair which was heaven. Period. Also after Aline's Party on Saturday, Pascal gave us an entire cake! Then yesterday a member gave us a pizza and tiramisu just for fun! Oh so much food. I think I have gained weight so this week I decided to make a exercise and diet plan. I love exercising and I need to cut back on my love for food haha. WISH ME LUCK.
I love my mission and I am loving every minute. It is hard at times but I know my mission is one the hardest things I will ever do. I have seen, done, and experienced so many new things that I will never forget. My knowledge of the gospel has grown and I have seen how people from all over the world can have that knowledge too. I don't know everything, I probably never will but I can keep growing my knowledge and so can you. The Gospel is for everyone because of the love from our Heavenly Father. He has given us the way back to him through our Savior Jesus Christ. He is the way and our example. Keep going, keep trying, and keep learning.
Here is a song that I have loved on mission. It cry all the time when I listen to but it reminds me of who I am and what I can do. It is called, "Worthy to Stand," by Jessica Clark Funk. I hope you enjoy it. Remember that you can do and Your Heavenly Father is with you always. Be Worthy to Stand as a disciple of Christ.
Love you all!

Me at the Gare drinking soda. Don't judge. Soeur Nickerson did it too.
We made Texas sheet cake for district lunch and we had left over so we ate them on the train back to St. Quentin. |
